Houston, TX (February 19, 2010) – The Houston Lightning, of the Southern Indoor Football League, is pleased to extend this final invitation to all professional and non-professional football players ages 18 and up for the 2010 inaugural season.

Final open tryouts will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  IMPORTANT:  Those players that are not pre-registered should arrive no later than 1:30 PM.

Tryouts will be held at Traylor Stadium, 1000 East Stadium Drive Rosenberg, Texas 77471.  This facility is located on the southwest side of the Greater Houston Area, just a few miles north of 59 South.  Each participant will be required to pay a $50 Registration Fee and will receive an official Houston Lightning tryout t-shirt. 

Tryout testing will include the following:  40yd Dash, 20yd Pro Shuttle, Standing broad Jump, 185 / 225 Bench Press, and position specific drills for further evaluation.  Traylor Stadium has a Field Turf surface, and players should bring proper footwear.
