Houston, TX (February 4, 2010) – The Lightning, Houston’s newest and only Professional Indoor Football Team, is pleased to extend this invitation to all professional and non-professional football players ages 18 and over. 

Tryouts for this 2010 season will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Please advise, those players that are not pre-registered should arrive no later than 8:30 AM.

Tryouts will be held at Saint United Church, 350 Century Plaza Drive, Houston, TX 77073.  This facility is one block north of Airtex and I-45N. Each participant will be required to pay a $50 Registration Fee and will receive an official Houston Lightning tryout t-shirt. 

All participants will be tested in the following:  40yd Dash, 20yd Pro Shuttle, Standing broad Jump, and 185 / 225 Bench Press Repetitions.  Participants will also be put through position specific drills for further evaluation.  Players should bring proper footwear for both indoor and outdoor testing. The Lightning kickoff their inaugural season on Saturday March 20th as they travel to take on the defending SIFL Champion Louisiana Swashbucklers.
