LAKE CHARLES, LA (January 21, 2010) – With the start of the 2010 season approaching, the Southern Indoor Football League players will have a sure grip on things this spring as Palmgard International, Inc. has inked a deal to become the official glove of the SIFL.

The partnership will allow for Palmgard International, Inc. extensive marketing opportunities benefiting with the SIFL’s concept of bringing affordable family entertainment to fans across the South.

“We have had a lot of great working relationships with athletes on the collegiate and high school levels for many years,” says Palmgard Inc. Founder Charles Webster.  “This agreement will allow us take it to the next level and gives us a much better opportunity to highlight our brand and our products on the professional level.”

Founded in 1988, Palmgard International, Inc. is headquartered in Randallstown, MD, and has become one of the premier manufactures of football and baseball gloves for both professional and amateur athletes.  Started by Charles Webster, Palmgard was originated after Webster bruised his hand playing catch with his college bound son.  In 2009, 65 colleges used their Grip-Tack II receiver glove.

Palmgard has product lines that fit both the skill position players as wells as the big boys up front.  “The Leader in Hand Protection” is not only designed for the receivers but also have football product lines for the offensive/defensive lineman, linebackers along with gloves the coaching staff. As the sole provider, Palmgard will be fitting each glove for all members of the SIFL with either their team logo or player numbers depending on the clubs request.

“In the past our players were responsible for having there own gloves which the majority of the time would not last througout the season,” says SIFL President Thom Hager.  “Palmgard not only delivers a great product for our players, but establishes uniformity; something other indoor football leagues lack.”
